Vinopolis to Offer Carbon Calculator

The London venue is launching an online carbon emissions calculator in November.

Vinopolis is launching an online carbon calculator to planners who organise events at the venue near London Bridge.

The Vinopolis Carbon Calculator will go live on November 18.

Planners who use it will be issued with a password that allows them to input delegates' travel details and the duration of their event at Vinopolis.

The calculator will determine the volume of carbon emissions generated by an event and provide planners with offsetting options such as investment in alternative energy programmes.

Vinopolis managing director Rupert Ellwood said: "This is something that organisers are now asking us for. We recognise that as a result of organising an event with us there will be carbon emissions generated so we want our clients to know what the options are for reducing the environmental impact."
